Day 1 - Leading With Your Personality

The P in the Pearl Model stands for personality. Personality type has a big influence on your natural leadership style. Understanding your personality type and those of the people you lead is key in bettering your leadership skills.

To guide your employees and organisation to success, be mindful of which personality traits and relevant skills you already have and which ones you may need to develop further.

In becoming a great leader, the first step is self-awareness and the willingness to adapt and grow. Understanding your personality strengths, weaknesses, and leadership style is a great way to foster the most effective leadership in your position.

Day 2 - Emotionally Intelligent Leadership

The second letter ‘E’ in the model represents
emotional intelligence. “The most effective
leaders are alike in one crucial way: They all have a high degree of what has come to be known as emotional intelligence. It’s not that IQ and technical skills are irrelevant. They do matter, but…they are the entry-level requirements for executive positions” Daniel Goleman.
Emotional intelligence in leadership is the capacity or capability to evaluate and manage our emotions and control interpersonal skills and emotions in personal work culture.
This part of the course will equip you with the
necessary skills to excel in this area.

Day 3 - Attitude Alchemy Fostering a Positive Work Environment

The letter ‘A’ is the third in the model and represents attitude. Attitudes are feelings and beliefs that largely determine how people will perceive their environment. Your attitude will eventually lead to behaviour and action. As leaders, it is our actions, feelings and moods that determine the actions, feelings and moods of others around us! Sobering thought hey?

Attitude plays an important role, as leaders with negative mental attitudes inadvertently create work environments that limit the growth and development of their subordinates.

This part of the leadership course helps you come to terms with how to manage your own attitude and those of your team members to better the work environment.
